Accuracy

I think the SkyTrak+ is a super accurate device. Lots of the time the SkyTrak+ gets compared to the Bushnell Launch Pro saying it leaps and bounds over the SkyTrak+, at the end of the day the Bushnell Launch Pro might be a little more accurate but it isn’t noticeable if you aren’t paying super close attention. You also will save a lot more money on a very similar device if you buy the SkyTrak instead of the BLP. The SkyTrak+ is perfect almost every time with its shot shape, ball speed, and swing speed. The carry yardage is only off maybe once when playing a full round of 18, but this still means that it’s a very rare occasion when the carry yardage is off.

Price

The baseline price for the SkyTrak+ is around $2,700 with our discount code GB100-JLKJME and there is a $250 subscription fee on top of that. After 5 years you will spend around $3,950. This is still below that $5,000 price point which is a great deal for a launch monitor. While the Mevo+ is around $1,900 with no subscription fees there are still many reasons why the SkyTrak+ could be for you. If you’re looking for a more detailed comparison of the SkyTrak+ and Mevo+ read this article.

Set-Up

The SkyTrak+ is probably one of the EASIEST devices to set up. All you need to do is turn it on, set up the program, and go. Make sure before and after using it to have your SkyTrak+ charged, it shouldn’t die while you're playing as long as it is charged before play. It also doesn’t take that much space needing around a 15 by 15 foot square but you can probably pass with a width of around 11 feet.

Responsiveness

The SkyTrak+ does take a second or two to react to your swing. It isn’t that big of a lag, and for me I wouldn’t call it a deal breaker. Especially because you get used to the small lag after a couple of shots.

Lefties & Righties

It is a little more work to flip the SkyTrak+ back and forth when you switch between righties and lefties especially when compared to the Mevo+. This being said if you do plan on needing to switch sides a lot and not just on rare occasions the Mevo+ might be a device you would want to check out. Other than that, if you think the people using it are rarely going to be lefties(or righties if you’re a leftie) then the SkyTrak+ is perfect for you.

Quirks

I have only noticed a couple of quirks with the SkyTrak+. First off you want to purchase dark-colored birtees when hitting your driver, the infrared camera can have issues with white, red, or other light-colored tees. Second is the red dot that tells you where to hit your ball, while this isn’t a big deal it does wear that portion of your mat out faster.

Final Thoughts

To sum it all up this device is great. It does the job for one of the most affordable prices you’ll find. The customer support from GOLFTEC has been good as well. I highly recommend getting the SkyTrak+ especially if you have a smaller space and have struggled with other monitors in the past because of it. So with that being said if you are thinking about purchasing the SkyTrak+ just use the discount code GB100-JLKJME to get the SkyTrak+ for the lowest possible price.
